Our goal was to help introduce the Unique FUD decoy by Blackwater Decoy Company of Ohio. These are certainly notyour conventional "block decoys",and as such they require extra consideration. That is exactly what attracted my attention to this interesting decoy line. The FUD decoys were invented in Australia by some interesting Duck Hunters. Black water Fold Up Decoys is a joint venture between Australia's own Fold Up Decoys, and North America's premier manufacturer of quality dekes, the Black water Decoy Company.

 

 

 

 

The first thing you notice with these decoys would have to be the excellent finish and detail. They look very real from most all angles. I feel the color and finish quality really make a difference when they are floating on water. The Light weight portability would be the second most attractive feature in my opinion. As a duck hunter how many times have you gone on one of those “Batan Death Marches with too much heavy gear in bad weather?” They seem to always be precluded by your buddy saying, “It’s not that far into this Duck Hole”. With FUD's you can comfortably carry twice to three times the number of traditional Decoys.

 

 

 

The realistic photo finish helps these decoys attract even the most leery of Ducks. They actually look like real decoys while sitting on the water. The slight movement of water and wind help give the FUD's a lively appearance that traditional block decoys seem to lack. When you watch these decoys float with other types of duck decoys, they seem to be much more lively and desirable to our feathered flying friends.The Black water FUD Decoys, are made with sturdy materials that ensure many good water fowl seasons. I like FUD durability advantage, over the similar Feather Light decoys. Once the fragile Feather Light decoys encounter a snag or hole, they are nothing more than an expensive balloon with fancy paint.

 

 

 

 

After three seasons of Duck hunting over the FUD Decoys, I can strongly recommend you try them and see what a huge difference they make!
